teh declarashun ov indypandance

teh declarashun ov indypandance is composed of the text of the declaration of independence translated into lolspeak (a language composed of purposeful misspellings loosely based on an attempt to organize syntax in the way which a cat would speak english), then coupled with eight printed portraits and covered with a healthy layer of fluorescent highlighter. the piece takes a neutral stance on the subject of the degradation, or alternately the evolution of language brought about by social networking sites and internet forums. the framing of the images suggests that the eight people are reacting to the text with confusion and disdain. the piece aims to somewhat dramatically represent the significance of sacrosanct text (emblemized by the declaration of independence) in a modern environment.
